Homemade ravioli

I wanted to make ravioli and although there are lots of recipes for homemade pasta dough I decided to try out the lasagna pasta sheets you can find in the gourmet pasta section at your local grocery store. I boiled the pasta sheets for about 5 minutes before rinsing them off and patting them dry. I put a filling of cooked sausage and ricotta to one side of each pasta sheet and folded the sheet over lightly putting an egg wash on the edges of each ravioli to seal them. I put the ravioli in a pan and covered them in marinara sauce. Baked them in the oven on 350 for about 20 mins to a half hour. Simple and gourmet meal!

Gourmet pizza

Last night I made a gourmet veggie pizza. Although I could have made the dough from scratch I did take the easy way out and brought a pilsbury pizza dough from the freezer section. It is best to prebake the dough for about 5 minutes before adding the ingredients for your pizza. Once the dough has prebaked add mozzarella, marinara sauce, sundries tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach to your dough and bake in the oven for about 10-13 minutes.

Very easy recipe and hardly any work invoked. Enjoy!
